Using the 5W+ technique, also known as the journalistic questions, retell the old joke of why the chicken crossed the road. Develop the who? -- character/ when and where? - setting/ what?- the plot/ how? the development of the plot. Use the same technique to develop the sentences and paragraphs.

Write an essay based on an arguable thesis derived from your reading of Being from Georgia. This is the purpose of the double entry journal you did over the essay and the discussion we had in class.  Remember to have the genre, title, author and a brief summary, pertaining to your thesis, of Blount's essay. Use integrated quotations from the primary source. Make sure you have parenthetical citations and a work cited.
