Molly’s Surprise

The  name of my book is Molly's Surprise and the author is Valeria Tripp. This book is about four little kids wanting something for Christmas. Their daddy is not home with them. He has a  job in England.

Mom, Dad, Molly, Jill the fourteen-year-old sister, Ricky twelve-year-old brother and Brad the five-year-old. The main character is Molly she is nine years old.

The setting is in a house full of people they were going throgh world war two. The conflict was that their daddy work in England he does not come home often. Because he works with soldiers in the army and that the kids wanted something for Christmas that they could not get. The point of view is that they don't have their daddy home with them. Molly and her mom Helen had a good relationship they had a good relationship because her mom was the only one there for her.   The setting is in a house full of people no daddy home for the kids. Molly is the main character “I wish you was home with us”2” Molly saying.     That was something she would always write to her daddy. “It would be a simple Christmas”8” because her dad is not there for Christmas. she always knew that it was not going to be a special. The conflict of my book is that their daddy is not home the mother is the only one their for them they are wanting a surprise for Christmas and they want there daddy to be home with their. The resolution was that there daddy had sent them there presents from England. They did not no idea he was going to do that but there mom now it. Jill and Ricky always like to hear stuff on the radio like news and Christmas songs. Next thing you no. “Ricky flicked on the radio Christmas music filled the room”55”. Then a scratchy voice on the radio said, “Merry Christmas! We’re broadcasting from the USO Christmas party in England, and we have some serviceman here with messages for the folks back home57”. “I’m Captain James McIntire they all stopped what they where doing and looked at the radio. “I'd like to say Merry Christmas to all the merry McIntires-Jill, Ricky, Molly, Brad, and my wife Helen”57”. they where so happy to hear his voice on the radio. I like this book because it is a Christmas story in i can relate to it. I can tell a friend about this book because they might can relate to it to.
